The Stoel Rives Sustainability Committee

Go Green Campaign
As part of this effort, the committee introduced the "Go Green" campaign designed to educate personnel on how to reduce material consumption and efficient energy-use at the office and home. Campaign activities have included contests among offices to turn off lights and computers nightly and utilizing mass transit to and from Stoel offices.

P² Sustainability Certification Program
The P² Sustainability Certification Program recognizes personnel who incorporate specific sustainable behaviors into their lifestyles. Program participants each pledge the following: I pledge to make reasonable choices to reduce my impact on the planet and the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. I pledge to reduce my carbon footprint by reducing my energy and material consumption at Stoel Rives, in my home, and in my community. I will contribute to the firm’s efforts to be a sustainable corporate citizen.

Program participants select and commit to incorporating specific sustainable behaviors into their lifestyles during a six-month period. Following the certification period, participants are scored on the behaviors they selected to qualify for one of the following certification levels:

During the program’s first certification period, more than 250 Stoel Rives staff and attorneys took the pledge, and more than 100 qualified for one of the certification levels.
