ExperienceDavid "D.J." Williams is a partner of the firm practicing in the Litigation practice group. He regularly handles federal and state court cases involving a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including claims involving products liability/toxic torts, construction and design, and hospitality. D.J. serves on Stoel Rives' Pro Bono Committee which oversees opportunities to contribute pro bono services in public interest areas and for the poor and serves as the Salt Lake City Office's Pro Bono Coordinator.

ExperienceD.J. Williams practices in the Products Liability section of Stoel Rives' Litigation Practice Group. D.J.'s product liability practice currently focuses on defending automobile/vehicle manufacturers in federal and state court. Recently, D.J. served on the trial team representing DuPont in an agricultural mass action concerning herbicide damage to crops of more than 100 plaintiffs in Idaho. D.J. has also handled products liability cases involving claims associated with medical products/devices, ephedra and asbestos, among others.
Stoel Rives clients with whom D.J. works in this area are Toyota Motor Company, General Motors, Nissan Motor Corporation, Mercedes-Benz, Kubota Tractor Company, DuPont, Sulzer Orthopedics and Ethicon Endo-Surgery.
D.J. serves on Stoel Rives' Pro Bono Committee which seeks out opportunities to contribute pro bono services in public interest areas and for the poor, and serves as the Salt Lake City Office's Pro Bono Coordinator.

In this capacity, D.J. handles a variety of federal and state court cases for general contractors, subcontractors, real estate developers, and other clients. He also advises contractors on Utah-specific contract drafting, and he consults with home developers and subcontractors regarding construction and lien issues.
D.J. also serves on Stoel Rives' Pro Bono Committee, which oversees pro bono services in public interest areas and for the poor and acts as the Salt Lake City Office's Pro Bono Coordinator.

- Clients include Salt Lake City Rail Constructors, Kern River Gas Transmission Company, Bomel Construction Company, and S.D. Deacon.
- High Desert Contractors v. Salt Lake City Rail Constructors (SLCRC) - We represented SLCRC in a lawsuit regarding the TRAX line to the University of Utah. In this lawsuit against an electrical subcontractor, we conducted all discovery, prepared the case, and participated in a two-week arbitration that resulted in a very favorable outcome for our client
- Kern River Gas Transmission v. Associated Pipeline Contractors - Millions of dollars in fees were at issue when we represented Kern River in a large lawsuit regarding a multi-state gas pipeline. We prevailed on summary judgment.
- CenterCal Construction, Inc. - I represented CenterCal Construction, a large-scale commercial developer with projects in many states. Most recently, regarding Centercal's development of Station Park (a commercial development in Farmington, UT), I have advised on Utah-specific construction laws, reviewed contracts, and assisted in the negotiation of the construction contract with the general contractor.
- Six Continents Hotels v. Priskos - I represented Six Continents Hotels in a case regarding the construction and management of a hotel in Ogden, UT. The case settled before trial on terms favorable to our client.
- S.D. Deacon (construction general contractor) - My efforts involved defending S.D.D. in matters regarding the construction of the outlet stores in Park City, UT
- Ready Made Concrete - We represented Ready Made Concrete, a concrete supplier, in various matters including defense, collection, and mechanic's lien cases.
