E-Trip is not your usual air district regulation and if you're the personnel or HR manager for your company, please take note: much of the responsibility for compliance will fall to you. (If not, please invite your company's HR rep to attend the meeting with you). We will spend a good deal of time at the April meeting of the
Manufacturers Council of the Central Valley discussing the regulation which was adopted in December.
Air District staff will give a presentation and help you work through whether or not your company is covered by the rule. Generally, the rule applies to any work site where 100 or more employees regularly report to work between 6 and 10 a.m. There are a number of exemptions and calculations including for those with seasonal or part-time employees, particularly in unincorporated areas.
Additional requirements kick in over the next three years. In order to assist companies in planning for the phase-in of the regulation, part of the special presentation will also focus on Healthy Air Living.
Stoel Rives partner Lee Smith will be in attendance to discuss the recent and controversial Greenhouse Gas Interpretive Ruling by the EPA.
