Winners Announced in the 2010 Utah Innovation Awards

SALT LAKE CITY - Eight innovations were announced as winners in the eighth annual Utah Innovation Awards program, presented by Stoel Rives LLP and the Utah Technology Council. This statewide program, the first of its kind, is designed to recognize innovations and the Utah companies that created them. The program is sponsored by Coherex Medical, MGM Grand Las Vegas, Stage 12, Utah Business Magazine, and Webb Audio Visual Communication. Winners were announced during a special Awards Luncheon today at the Marriott City Center.

A committee of approximately 70 experts from private industry, government and higher education selected the award winners. Votes were tallied by the accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP. The table below identifies the winners in each category:

Approximately 325 individuals attended the Awards Luncheon at the Marriott City Center. Jason P. Perry, Chief of Staff to Governor Gary R. Herbert, provided welcoming remarks, and Amanda Dickson, KSL Radio announcer and author, delivered a keynote address.
