Two California Stoel Rives Attorneys Named Northern California Super Lawyers

SAN FRANCISCO- Stoel Rives is pleased to announce that two of its California partners have been named Northern California Super Lawyers (www.superlawyers.com) by San Francisco Magazine: Sandi L. Nichols and Michael A. Campos. Approximately 5% of the Northern California Bar members received the distinction. The attorneys’ inclusion on this list indicates that their 46,000 Northern California colleagues and peers nominated them for this honor. Lawyers were selected based on the results of thousands of peer reviews, votes, and on the recommendations of a blue-ribbon panel.

Michael Campos’ practice includes environmental compliance, land and natural resource regulation and development, and water law. From 1971 through 1980, he held various positions in the State Water Resources Control Board, including Chief, of the Bay/Delta Unit. From 1978 to 1980 he was Chief of the Division of Water Rights, and in 1980 he became Deputy Executive Director of the State Water Resources Control Board. From 1983 to 1985 he was the Executive Director of the Board. Mike has been in private practice since 1985. He is also a registered professional engineer (civil and agricultural).

Sandi Nichols practices in the areas of environmental, natural resources, and land use counseling and litigation, primarily handling litigation under the federal Clean Water Act; the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA); and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She has handled all phases of litigation from discovery through mediation, trial, and appeal in state and federal court cases. Sandi is the Managing Partner of the firm’s California offices.
