William Holmes Honored with Women of Wind Energy Champion Award

PORTLAND- Stoel Rives LLP, a U.S. law firm, is pleased to announce that partner William Holmes has been honored with the Champion Award by Women of Wind Energy ("WoWE"). WoWE, an association dedicated to the professional development and advancement of women in the wind energy industry, presented the award at a luncheon held at the American Wind Energy Association's WINDPOWER 2012 conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The inaugural award was created to acknowledge individuals who significantly contribute to the advancement of women in the field of renewable energy, through mentoring and professional development.

Holmes focuses his practice on energy law, with a special emphasis on wind, geothermal, biomass, tidal and ocean power, and other forms of renewable energy. He represents clients in the negotiation of major power purchase agreements on both the "buy" and the "sell" sides. Holmes also advises clients in the negotiation of acquisition agreements for energy assets and companies, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, management agreements, LLC agreements, energy project development agreements, fuel supply agreements, and related documentation.
